Filming in Malawi. The republic of Malawi in the southeastern part of Africa is one of the countries that have not been fully exploited and is still fresh. The country has several filming locations. They range from national parks, to islands, to museums and many more.

Nyika national park commonly known for its location on the nyika plateau and being the largest park in the country. You can film zebras, elephants, antelopes, elands and duikers

Kasungu national park located in central Malawi. Wildlife here includes elephants, sable antelopes, hippos, leopards and lions.

Liwonde national park located in the southern part of Malawi. Wildlife includes Elephants, Buffalo, zebras, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, black rhino and crocodiles.

Lengwe national park. Also located in south Malawi. The wildlife here includes Nyala, impala, bushbucks, duikers, buffalos, leopards and hyenas.

Lake Malawi national park. Located on the southern end of Malawi. Majorly has crocodiles and antelopes.

Nyala Park. Which is a private park in south Malawi. The wildlife includes wildebeest, giraffe, impala and nyala

Kuti wildlife reserve a community owned reserve, wildlife includes zebras, reedbucks, bush pigs, wildebeest, nyala, duiker and sable antelopes.

Mwabvi wildlife reserve. Located in south of Malawi. Wildlife includes impalas, vervet monkeys, greater kudu and yellow baboons.

Majete game reserve. Home to cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, hippos, lions, leopards, hyenas and zebras.

Nkhota kota game reserve. The largest reserve in Malawi and harbors elephants, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, sables, lions, leopards, yellow baboons and hyenas.

Vwaza marsh reserve which is home to elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, antelopes, hyena, hippos and many more.

Lilongwe wildlife centre. Wildlife sanctuary in Lilongwe. Rehabilitates and takes care of vulnerable wildlife animals.

Ntchisi forest reserve is a protected reserve and one of the remaining indigenous rainforests in the country. Wildlife includes Monkeys, antelopes, serval cats and several wildlife species.

Islands and bays. The country has several islands and bays that are located on lake Malawi. And these include Nkata bay which is a port town in the northern region.

Mumbo Island which is a tropical island on Malawi good for scuba diving, kayaking, snorkeling and hiking.

Lilongwe city which is the capital city of the country. Has filming locations such as lizulu market which is the busiest roadside market in the city, kumbali cultural centre which show cases the arts, culture, music of Malawi.

Mzuzu city located in the northern region. It has several manufacturing industries and has a booming agricultural sector and is also home to Mzuzu University.

Livingstonia mission. A mission site that was established by Dr Robert Laws. The mission has several works that can be filmed including schools, and a church.

Karonga Museum which showcases the cultural heritage and history of Karonga. The museum also showcases fossils.

Museum of Malawi. Located in Blantyre is a cultural and historical museum and exhibits the history of culture and wildlife of the parks of Malawi.

Mulnaje Massif an inselberg in the southern part of Malawi and has several high points. The mountain is good for hiking and birding.

Manchewe Falls the highest waterfall in Malawi and also known as Chipopoma falls.

Kapachira falls. Located near Majete reserve and were given the name Murchison Cataracts by Sir Roderick Murchison.

William falls located in Zomba district and good for filming Hiking adventures

Lake kazuni   which is situated in Vwaza marsh game reserve and supports a big hippo population.

Lake Malawi. The largest fresh water lake in Malawi. Home to several fishing species and a big number of Nile crocodiles.

Lake Chilwa. The second largest lake in Malawi and a good birding destination

Kugoni centre of culture and Art in central Malawi.  It has research centre, chamane museum and also offers traditional and cultural course.
